Derry City and Strabane District Council is seeking a contractor for the construction of a new 1.75ha community park at Currynierin, Waterside, Derry/Londonderry, incorporating an enclosed inclusive/DDA-compliant play facility, a natural grass kick-about/pitch and a network of lit footpaths. The works include clearance and demolition of an existing play area, substantial earthworks, drainage works (traditional and SuDS), civil engineering works such as Bitmac footpaths with aggregate make-up, kerbing and street lighting, supply and installation of approximately 18 pieces of play equipment with wetpour safety surfacing, fencing with multiple gates mounted on in-situ concrete mowing-strips, paving/Bitmac/asphalt surfacing, landscaping including specimen tree planting and grass seeding, and associated street furniture and signage.
