About

Wakefield Metropolitan District Council is seeking a supplier to deliver information, advice and support services for Adult and Young Adult Carers living in Wakefield District. The service will support unpaid carers who provide essential care to family members, friends and neighbors with an illness, disability, mental health condition, substance dependency or care needs associated with ageing, helping people remain independent, connected to their communities and reducing demand on statutory health and care services. The contract is due to commence on 1 April 2027 for an initial two-year period to 31 March 2029, with options to extend for up to three years to 31 March 2032, and an estimated total contract value including extensions of £3,922,950.
